The University selected the international planning and design firm
of Burt Hill to lead the consulting team to develop the campus master plan.
Burt Hill brings a seasoned team of architects, planners, landscape architects
and engineers who are well versed on the trends that affect campuses across the
country. The firm has provided master planning services for more than 100
college / university campuses, and has also developed innovative and
responsible solutions for educational clients that offer a mix of academic and
private development for the university and the broader community. Burt Hill's
project manager Jeff Funovits will work jointly with University of Dayton's Rick Perales as directors of the project.

With more than 20 years of experience in higher
educational, commercial, residential and urban planning, Jeff believes that
building relationships with his clients is the key to any successful project.
This relationship begins with understanding the client’s business from their
core beliefs to their approach to funding projects. As Project Manager for the
Campus Master Plan, Jeff offers specific experience in public-private
partnerships and consensus building. He will take the lead in coordinating with
the campus community on all planning issues and collaborates with all
stakeholders to steer the design process toward fulfillment of the University’s
vision for the future. |

food service consulting for the University over the years; Walker Parking,
which will address key parking and circulation issues; and Tripp Umbach which

Envision Strategies is recognized as one of the premier consulting
firms in the United States specializing in operations and planning for food

order to establish a strategic alliance of services with Ricca Newmark Design,

leading universities and academic medical centers. They have the experience
necessary to guide the University through the evaluation of the highest and
best use of a proposed gateway facility, insuring that the final project
maximizes economic benefits for both the University and the Dayton community.
Tripp Umbach’s leadership of the complex process of market analysis,
programming and development opportunities will be critical to the University’s
planning efforts. Tripp Umbach has worked on similar community gateway projects
at The Ohio State University, the University of Pennsylvania, The University of
Arizona, and the University of Akron. Project manager Ken Schott will lead
Tripp Umbach’s research and analysis efforts.
